NETHUR Community Event – Planning for the long-term in the Netherlands
NETHUR warmly invites all researchers, PhD candidates, practitioners and others interested in urban and regional research to its Community Event in Amsterdam. Whether you are already part of the NETHUR network or simply interested in current spatial challenges, you are very welcome to join.
The event aims to bring people together, foster exchange across disciplines and institutions, and strengthen the wider community engaged in urban and regional research.
The central lecture will be delivered by Professor Peter Pelzer (Professor of Spatial Planning and Strategy). In his talk, Planning for the long-term in the Netherlands: Reviving a tradition while inventing something new, he addresses the growing struggle for space in the Netherlands and explores how spatial planning can be rethought from the perspective of long-term responsibility and intergenerational justice.
The afternoon will conclude with drinks and informal networking, providing ample opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and continue the conversation.
