Core Course 5: Quantitative Research Methods

Please check the events calendar to see when the next "Core Course 5: Quantitative Research Methods" will take place.

The Quantitative Research Methods course provides an introduction and advanced training in the most useful and current quantitative research methods for social sciences.

In the first course module, basic knowledge of multivariate statistics is brushed up. For the next modules, this basic knowledge is supposed to be present. In each of the following modules a different statistical technique is discussed (e.g. Multi Level Analysis, Discrete Choice Models, Structural Equation Modelling, and Spatial Regression). Each module consists of a morning part with a lecture on the specific method and an afternoon part with computer exercises on these techniques.

This course is open for PhD candidates who have first followed at least one introductory course in quantitative research methods.

Please note the following:

Having registered for a course implies that you are obliged to participate in all modules;
Cancellation of course participation is only possible until four weeks before the start of the course. After that, costs may apply (see Registration and costs for details).
