Publishing Workshop
Publishing Workshop
Please check the events calendar to see when the next "Publishing workshop" will take place.
For PhD candidates, it is of high importance to publish their research outcomes in peer reviewed journals. However, this is easier said than done. Having your article published amongst others requires writing it in a convincing and clear style, selecting the proper journal and dealing with reviewers’ comments in an appropriate way. To support PhD candidates in learning these skills, NETHUR offers a Publishing Workshop.
The workshop consists of:
- a discussion with the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economic and Human Geography (TESG) on substantive and practical aspects related to publishing academic articles, and
- a discussion with a professional copy editor and native speaker in English. As continuation of the workshop, the professional copy editor will also partly proofread and edit one paper of each participating PhD candidate, combined with individual feedback meetings. Feedback meetings will be planned on and individual basis.
PhD candidates participating in this workshop should be able to deliver an article for editing within two weeks after the workshop.
Please note the following:
Having registered for a course implies that you are obliged to participate in all modules;
Cancellation of course participation is only possible until four weeks before the start of the course. After that, costs may apply (see Registration and costs for details).
